Standoffish

Unpleasant, usually for no good reason.

The parrot lady would get standoffish and bark at any passerby that didn't allow her to walk all over them after having someone other than herself call them a bunch of names like passive or weak (something other than one of the alphas like herself) or all these other things, trying to lock down their neighborhood (not hers, as she wasn't even originally from there) with lies, and being as inflammatory as possible towards them to cause any drama that she could.

Achilles Heel

The weakness of Achilles.

He wondered why the bubbly girl that sent in the Trojan Horse with the Trojan shield would also be looking for his Achilles Heel. Achilles didn't fight on the side of Troy, he fought against Troy. Perhaps she thought nobody else could figure out just how many sides she had been playing all her life. Was it actually the people the media called criminals that were the suspicious ones, or was she the suspicious one?

Record

Something you won't take with you, even if you break one. They're kind of like money in that sense.

Whether it's a vinyl record or a sports/entertainment record, no matter how many you break, you won't take them with you when you're not around any more. Some people like to break records, others disagree that all records are made to be broken, and they try to take care of the records they have while they are still here.

Easy

Nobody really has it easy, some people just know how to deny ever having had felt anything negative, which is when they get obsessive/excessive about things they wouldn't otherwise if they just processed that life isn't all sunshine, but that isn't a bad thing. Plants don't get happy or sad, but they don't do too well with no rain.

Nobody can really walk in somebody's else's shoes without being a quack, since they will always be viewing things from their own lens even if the shoe does fit. So really how hard or easy something is depends on the person.
