Like the word transatlanticism which means to have a relationship from across the antlantic ocean say someone from the UK in a relationship with someone in the United States transpacificism means to have a relationship across the pacific oceantransatlanticism came from the song by Death Cab For Cutie of the same name as well as album where this specific scenario was discussed and transpacificism is something I made up
