An object of extremely shoddy quality that nonetheless offers the illusory appearance of exquisiteness and serviceability. Often used to describe cheap Chinese-made electronic devices and other mass produced goods packaged in such a way as to evoke the false perception of great expense or luxury.
I was so happy to finally find a 40" LCD TV at Walmart that fit into my $250 budget, but once I got home and actually plugged it in, I discovered to my great chagrin that it was total junkola!
