Spanish for "present"; when the name of a fallen or deceased hero of the Revolución or other sacred cause is mentioned, one is supposed to shout "¡Presente!" to indicate that she or he is still present in spirit.

Yet another synonym for marijuana. Also spelled 'gauge'. Probably from Sanskrit _ganja_. The term was most popular in the 1950s.
