what could go wrong 

Used (usually in jest) when something is bound to go completely and utterly wrong.
Guy: I'm going to buy some bondage gear for my brother's girlfriend and say it's from him.
Guy's friend: Yeah, what could go wrong, right?
Guy: Exactly!
