The act of killing time while feeling completely worthless inside derived from the words lor (as in dismay) and loafing (to spend time aimlessly).

He was lorfing around again today, I don't think he's done anything productive in the last week since they broke up.

what could go wrong

Used (usually in jest) when something is bound to go completely and utterly wrong.

Guy: I'm going to buy some bondage gear for my brother's girlfriend and say it's from him.
Guy's friend: Yeah, what could go wrong, right?
Guy: Exactly!
