A combination of the word Bitcoin and Expat, used to describe expats that live off and travel with their Bitcoin or other cryptocurrency}. The term was first used in the [book 'Crypto Shrugged' (Bitpats series book 1)

"I met a few bitpats at the beach bar tonight, amazing these people would still be in the office if they hadn't bought bitcoin years ago."
