Deathcore is a subgenre of Metalcore which features influences from Death Metal and Metalcore which originally began in the mid beginning of 2000’s. The genre is considered an Underground movement due to it being similar to a “Sinister” sibling of Metalcore yet was successful. The genre however is critically judged for pointless reasons by the Metal community. Deathcore frequently uses Breakdown which is usually when instruments go down into a solo. When aiming for a “Breakdown”, people aim for a “Chug” which is when the guitar strumming repetitively palm-mute the open power produced by drop tuning.

Bands such as Chelsea Grin, Bring Me The Horizon, Suicide Silence with some earlier bands being Antagony, Despised Icon and the Red Chord.
