A Philadelphia-area colloquialism for sub or submarine sandwich often known in the New York City Metropolitan area as a hero.
Exceptions:
One would not say "Meatball hoagie" they would say "Meatball sandwich" or "Meatball sub".

Get the hoagie mug.Water ice is commonly referred to as italian ice outside of the Philadelphia metropolitan area. It is a flavored ice with a soft texture, not like a snow cone usually consumed in the summer.
