noun: A large woman of elephantine proportions, who has lost the use of her legs. Typically hailing from the southern states of America, she only leaves her den with the aid of a motorized vehicle to shop for groceries, and a Boom Hilda will typically make this pilgrimage over 8 times a day.

John: Hey Dave you see that Boom Hilda over there?
Dave: Yeah, she hasn't even heard of stairs.
