A chicken trucker was a driver who was willing to run illegal weights, speeds or routes to get freight (usually perishable freight) to it's destination. Trucks were lit up with many lights for safety and as warning to get out of the way. These boys were the cream of the crop. They were paid well above average wages and could go coast to coast and back in 4 days time. You can't truck like this anymore.
"Don't pull out in front of that CHICKEN TRUCKER! He's doing 110 mph! Must be running late to the market" Do it baby - whoop whoop!
