Heart-Blocking

The digital equivalent of nodding your head and walking away from a conversation. It happens when someone replies to your text, essay, or meme with absolutely nothing but a double-tap (a heart or like) on the message. While it technically means "I read this," it actually translates to: "This conversation is legally dead and I am refusing to keep it on life support." Commonly used by Gen Z as a "polite" alternative to leaving someone on read, though it often leaves the recipient feeling slightly rejected.
