illuminary

1. Having the ability to make something visible or bright by shining light on it; light up. "The illuminary technology cut through the darkness like night-vision goggles."
2. Having the ability to help to clarify or explain. "The professor's illuminary lectures proved him to be more of a prophet than a mere educator."
You should use a more illuminary verb, such as "shined" or "glowed" because "shown" does not mean to light up.
