Love, enlightenment, generosity, tolerance, harmony, respect, understanding, patience, virtue, humility, charity are some of the principles of peace. We see these principles as separate entities because we do not know true peace yet. Peace is the embodiment of all these things into a state. Not just a state of mind but a state where we do not need ruling institutions, where we are not divided by religions, where we see how detrimental the rat race is, where we can solve our problems by talking and never through violence, but most importantly when all humanity realizes that we are one. This state is possible because we know it can happen on a micro scale between individuals even if it takes a lifetime. World peace will be achieved when enough individuals understand it. The only way to understand peace is to feel it.
Two people disagree on an issue. They discuss their difference without insults or attempting to persuade the other but with the earnest intention of learning why the other believes what they do. When true understanding is reached, both will understand each other and accept the differences without remorse. And from that understanding both will feel a sense of tranquility containing the principles I stated in my definition. That feeling, that is peace.
