The impact of being disrupted by a corporate leader with a questionable talent for solving complex organizational challenges. He/She positioned themself as a strategic thinker who could cut through bureaucracy, drive change, and deliver results where others had stalled. Over time, however, a different pattern emerges. Many of the problems claimed to solve were often the result of disruptions deliberately or carelessly introduced by this leader, allowing to later present himself/herself as the architect of the solution. Their approach relied on creating uncertainty, reshuffling responsibilities, and fostering internal friction under the guise of transformation. While these tactics enhanced their visibility and influence, they frequently left leaders and employees frustrated, demoralized, and distrustful. What initially seemed like innovative leadership increasingly appeared to be a devious cycle of manufactured problems and self-serving interventions that undermined morale and stability across the organization.
