hypervisor

A micro-managing supervisor who not only needs to oversee all of your work, but who acts as a hypervisory layer between yourself and the system, preventing you from directly interacting with or deploying to a system for which you are responsible without an additional layer of abstraction (typically themselves).
My hypervisor won't give me access to production to test the issue. He wants me to talk him through it on a Webex while he uses *his* Admin account in production. It's so inefficient!
