Grow the grass

A modern alternative to the phrase "cut the crap". It is used in a playful yet direct manner to tell someone to stop being fake, stop talking in circles,or stop wasting time with nonsense . It encourages the person to be 'straight'. With the literal meaning as the grass grows straight so you need to be straight to the point.

Up to heaven

The literal and opposite of being"down to earth". Used to describe someone who's opposite of humble and realistic . It refers to someone who has their head on cloud,acts superior or disconnected from reality that they've left the ground entirely.

"Ever since he got that promotion ,his ego has gone up to heaven."
