The term TERF stands for “Trans Exclusionary Radical Feminist” and refers to women who are typically or refer to themselves as feminists, may be or are misandrists and a key attribute, detest transgender individuals (mostly trans women). The term is used to describe them as such, although some people may use it in a way to act as a slur or some themselves may claim it as one.
Person 1: She doesn't think of trans women as predators, there is a chance she might be a terf.
Person 2: Oh, I didn’t know that, it kind of changes things.
