Ambiwlans is Welsh for Ambulance, and is written on all ambulance vehicles in the Welsh Ambulance NHS Trust.
Ambiwlans is not to be confused as a 'dumbing down' version of the word 'Ambulance'
Ambiwlans was made famous by an internet user known as JamesTigerWoods who famously started a discussion on a car focussed forum complaining that society was dumbing down so far that the word Ambiwlans had replaced Ambulance, not knowing of the welsh origin.
