Banusivan is a name used in a few subcontinent countries. The first part "Banu" is sanskrit and means something like sun and the second part "Sivan" is one of the many variations for the name of the hindu god shiva. He is the god of destruction and new beginnings. Together it means something like "God of sun destruction" or "the god of destruction that gets his power from the sun"
