Frobisher Food Bank Fakeout

A campaign tactic whereby a sitting Prime Minister, dropping fast in the polls, appears at a northern Food Bank to act as if he cares about Indigenous kids - despite taking Indigenous kids to court after being found to have violated their Human Rights by a Federal Human Rights Tribunal.
Liberal Aide: "Oh my God, I'm going to have to move back in with my mom, we're polling at 29%!"

Trudeau: "Don't worry, we're going to pull a Frobisher Food Bank Fakeout. They'll never know what hit them."

Inuit Apology

A political maneuver used by Canadian Politicians to avoid responsibility and evade media accountability. In promising to apologize for an historic Indigenous grievance, a Politician may use it to provide political cover when faced with a contemporaneous scandal.
Q: "In light of the large and growing mass of evidence that you and your Government tried to unlawfully pressure the Attorney General into cutting a sweetheart deal for your SNC-Lavalin in a corruption case, will you be apologizing today?"

A: "I will be making an Inuit apology later today."
