When someone is held at gunpoint, they are said to be looking down the barrel of a gun.

The man was looking down the barrel as he was held at gun point by the mugger.

When a guys keeps a lighter on him, whether he smokes or not, he uses the lighter to light a lady's cigarette.

I don't smoke but I do keep a gentleman's light just case a lady wants to light a cigarette.
