An alternate spelling to 'jinn'.
(In Arabian or Muslim mythology) an intelligent spirit of lower rank than angels, able to appear in human and animal forms and to posess humans.

"Did you hear what happened to Ellie yesterday?"
"Yeah. Got taken over by a Djinn."
"Pity."
