an expression used to emphosise the verb it is placed after.

also expresses the idea that you are soo (verb) that it is like a beast tearing away at you and you can feel nothing but (verb)

dude, I am hungry like the beast/as the beast
dude, I hunger like the beast

Im tired as the beast today
I could sleep like the beast if I didnt have to finish this script by 5

that guy last night with the ear ring, he was drunk as the beast
