misduoreifthymia

Mis·duo·reif·thy·mi·a, n. (vb. misduoreifthymize, -mized, -mizing; adj. misduoreifthymic): A failure to recognize or verbally acknowledge, prior to or during the presentation of a statement or question, the underlying framing of an idea, concept, observation, context or reality within a discussion that may lead to disagreement (where no actual disagreement exists <especially between non-rivals> and occurring predominantly during ontological or religious debate), usually stemming from a failure to first identify internally assumed or constructed perceptions; in turn, a listening participant who often is perceived as “the opponent” may likewise fail to account for the inherently present mismatch of perceptions — causing the mind to engage in internal debate rather than acknowledge the private perception that generated the conflict; examples: spirit v. flesh; dual v. non-dualism; separation v. unity; literal v. allegorical; belief v. knowledge; opinion v. perception; salvation v. sanctification; already saved v. being saved; grace unearned v. grace transforming; Christ as internal v. external; that is, “Which ‘level’ are we talking about!?”
