My first three takes of the beginning of this chapter got ruined by clerp because the visual of the two main characters covered in seaweed and stuck hip-deep in a ball pit filled with sushi rice gives me giggles that I have not been able to suppress.

The reason I’ve never gotten coffee at Julie’s Cafe before you suggested we meet up here is that a persistent case of brainpout caused my avoidance of anything with the name JULIE after a kid named Julie set a fire in my locker when I was fifteen.
