Black heat

A black heat is when a blacksmith has pulled a peice of iron out of the forge glowing while working the peice of iron on the anvil and it no longer glows. Though it looks the same as when it is cold, it will severely burn you.
"Why is your apprenticeses hand bandaged billy bob?"

"Crayon eater over there picked up a black heat with his hands when it fell out of his tongs"
