Side hug 

A slick maneuver by males in positions of authority used whenever a female subordinate comes in for a full frontal embrace in an effort to avoid charges being pressed.

Judge: Is it true Mr. Smith that you and Mrs. Jones greeted each other with an embrace?

Mr. Smith: No your honor. Mrs. Jones would come in for the embrace but I would counter with the side hug.

Judge: Case dismissed
