Short for "recreational dating." When people go out on dates for fun and not necessarily anything else.

Chelsey has been RD ing, she's not seeing anyone seriously.

MESP

Short for "Mutually Exclusive Sexual Partner." You're not dating, you're not sleeping around. Similar to "Fuck Buddy."
When you only have one sex partner, but they are not your boyfriend/girlfriend.

Bridget has a cute MESP. Carrie tried to get with him, but Jim only does Bridget.
