The “Promise” of the gesture was that this gift would not be given if it were not at least good enough for the person giving the gift. The missing serving was presumed to be used to confirm the quality of the item and evaluate possible improvements.

We did not understand why our Thanksgiving turkey only had one wing until my grandfather explained the custom of the Welsch promise, and it’s purpose of honoring his guests.

The party’s M.O. is to collectively determine the best results for particular issues and work towards that end.
The party was born during the Trump administration, out of disgust for their criminality. The decision to create a new party rather than to try to reform the Democratic Party was due to the expectation that the wealthy corrupters of the Republican Party will simply shift to further corrupting the Democrats after their facade has collapsed.
As of the 2020 election, the Honestarian Party had one (1) member.
