“Someone who is overly trusting and overly giving in a relationship, offering love, attention, and gifts while receiving little or nothing in return.”
Example (non-insulting):
“He believed everything his partner told him, even when others could clearly see she wasn’t being honest with him.”
Single-word or simple terms for this kind of person:
People-pleaser – puts their partner’s needs ahead of their own.
Push-over – easily taken advantage of.
Doormat – lets others walk all over them.
Over-giver – gives far more than they receive.
Gullible – easily believes what they’re told, especially in love.
Naive in relationships – trusts too easily.
