Destined to meet. Usually the people have a connection that for some reason they didn't act on and yet are able to find each other in the future.

thanks to the use of a new app the two were able to get together it was kismeet.

mismeet

mismeet is to almost interact with someone. for whatever reason two people encounter one another but for whatever reason... fear, time, location... they do not meet but wish that they had.

despite their attraction for each other, it all ended with a mismeet because neither could get past their fear to say hello
