Freudian Slip vs. Freudian Checkmate
A Freudian Slip: an unconscious verbal or behavioral mistake that accidentally reveals hidden thoughts or feelings.
A Freudian Checkmate: when a public figure (like a politician) makes a “slip” that doesn’t just reveal a hidden truth, but also undermines their position, their allies, or their party — like a chess move that suddenly leaves the King exposed.
If/when a Political figure accidentally reveals a hidden agenda or truth that could lead to devestating damages to the Politican and it's Political Allies. Politics is like a game of Chess on the worlds largest Chessboard. if one of the stronger pieces makes a mistake that could be potentially gamebreaking, that is a Freudian Check. if it proves to be true, it autimatically becomes a Freudian Checkmate.
