Duffifie

To lay a bottle on its side-after drinking its contents-to collect the few remaining drops, which can then be poured (or dribbled) into a glass. Also, to "make the bottle confess"

From Scottish (see John Jamieson's Etymological Scottish Dictionary, 1808). Now obsolete.
Grandpa Tony is always sure to duffifie after finishing his wine, proclaiming, "If it's enough to take a pill with, it's enough for me."
