A dating reality show is a scripted, fantasy romance program that focuses on singles and couples in their dating adventures.

, Everything is over-dramatized and exaggerated, as well as the participants overreacting to literally everything.

Whilst "The Bachelor/ette" is one of the bigger ones, there are many different spinoffs and clones.

"Omg did you see First Dates last night? Mary went into a full rage over dropping her spoon!"
