When you accidently type a message all in caps but do not want recipient to think you are shouting or being rude. Or you just dont want to erase and rewrite just for the sake of politeness.

Before or after message is appropriate but if its long it should be before.

Often done on accident but some people just like all caps.

I WILL SEE YOU TONIGHT AT 9. S4C

MY POINT IS NOT MORE IMPORTANT THEN YOURS, I JUST LIKE TO WRITE IN CAPS. S4C
