Eat

(Slang) To accept bearing the cost for something, often when someone else was supposed to pay for part or all of it.

Sam was supposed to get me back for that meal. Guess I'll have to eat the cost.

Damn, I need the cash but the ATM has a fee. I'll have to eat the fee.
