Perdyx

A term for a predatory family member who uses their professional status or "expert" authority to systematically strip a vulnerable relative of their assets. A Perdyx typically operates through "financial grooming," using home-made legal documents to extinguish the inheritance of siblings while they are at their weakest (e.g., postpartum or grieving). The hallmark of a Perdyx is that they ensure the final liquidation of an asset (like a family home) benefits only themselves, leaving the original owner with nothing.

Jane pulled a total Perdyx; she waited until her sister had a newborn baby to make her sign a document regarding the family home. Now that the property has been sold, the proceeds are no longer accessible to the family, and their blind mother has been left with zero.

Fastose

To be completely and deeply fast asleep. A combination of "fast" and "asleep". Used to describe someone who is out cold and impossible to wake up.
