The action of delaying a potentially unpleasant or tedious task by stopping to have some drinks on the way.

Before going to stand in the line to cast our vote we stopped at the pub for some alchoprocrasternation.

gargle babble

A joke, statment or speech that leaves such a bad taste in your mouth that you wish you could gargle it away with mouth wash. Often applicable to politicians or people who think they're funny but aren't.

That guy speaks so much gargle babble that I had to leave the room before I threw up.
