When someone gives money typically through a donation to a streamer that puts on an act to make vulnerable people believe they've formed a connection with them for monetary gain.

"Why does he keep donating his money to these trashy streamers? It's obvious they're putting on an act just to get guys like him do dump their paycheck on them."
