DYWD

Date You Won't Date. A date you have for a social function (particularly school dances like homecoming and prom), but have no intention of dating following the conclusion of the event. Similar to just going as friends, but the other oftentimes does not know that there is no hope of a future.

If Ryan and I went to hoco together, he'd definitely be a DYWD.
