Ticker or , to have "ticker", meaning that someone has a lot of go in them. They will have a go at anything but more specifically have a fight with anyone. It means that they have no problem shaping up to fight someone or defend themselves. They have more courage than most people and without hesitation are ready on site

Nathan's not like his brother Matt. When old mate shaped up to matt in the yard he got laid out. Nathan would attack old mate first, he's got more ticker.
