AFK inflation

AFK inflation refers the increase of the amount of screen time you're supposed to have in order to catch up latest YouTube videos that happens whilst the amount of screen time you're able to have remains the same. There are quite a few causative factors that can cause AFK inflation, e.g. having many YouTube channels uploading new videos at the same time.

After a week of being busy, I felt the effects of AFK inflation hit hard; with dozens of new uploads waiting for me, I realized I’d need to binge-watch for hours just to catch up latest YouTube videos!

egoist

A pejorative term for parents who take their small children to the cinema with them, even though the children are too young to akcually have the attention span to enjoy movies while the content of the movie happens to be too inappropriate for the children to watch.

Watching that intense action movie full of violence titled "John Wick 3: Parabellum" (2019) with all those kids in the theater made me realize how some parents are total egoists, dragging their little ones into inappropriate films!

Being the short for "Rundfunk", this slang term of German origin means "radio".

I turned on the funk to get my day started—nothing beats listening to the radio while I sip my morning coffee!

A Dutch slang term meaning "bye-bye". As this slang term entered the Indonesian language, it ends up being pronounced like "dada" — the Indonesian word for "chest." This playful twist creates a humorous connection between farewells and anatomy.

I waved goodbye and said, "Daag!" but my friend just laughed because it sounded like I was talking about my chest.
