Aleta

A girl known to get an "aw" from cuteness overloaded elders. She's very shy around most strangers. but can soon become devilish around people she knows. She does before she thinks, and often winds up in trouble, but she is nonetheless entertaining.

Classmate 1: "Did you hear Aleta got sent to the principal's?"
Classmate 2: "Again?"

Old Lady: "That little girl Aleta is such a doll!"
Old Man: "She's very polite!"

Pap

An affectionate name for one's father or father-figure. Short for papa. In The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn, Huck's father's name is Pap.

My momma and my pap got married in December of 1994.
