Monk Incident

Making reference to an incident that happened in The Monk Nightclub in Limerick, Ireland in mid 2025.

Used when referring to a sober man approaching a heavily intoxicated woman in a club. Often implying sinister intentions on the man’s part.

Commonly used in western Irish Gen-Z vernacular.

Hey Brendan, don’t talk to her, she’s too drunk. We don’t need another Monk Incident on our hands.
