Biological family. This is the family your stuck with because you're related. This sets them apart from our ideal family which may contain friends not related to us. Many people have close friends who are like a father, brother, sister, etc. to them and are thus thought of like a family.

I have to spend Thanksgiving with my biofam but I'll be back to see my real family soon.
