hossy

Used to describe those exhibiting characteristics of bitterness, minor hostility, crankiness, grumpiness, or grouchiness. These qualities are often combined with a confrontational attitude and a willful demeanor. In some cases, a hossy individual will forgoe bathing for an extended period of time.

Scott has been so hossy lately that I am afraid to approach him about not showering this week.
