The tiny, low-effort, mostly involuntary eye blinks that happen between normal blinks. Less noticeable, lighter, and more automatic than a regular blink. Usually driven by muscle memory rather than a strong reflex or conscious need.
Unlike a full blink, smirkles feel like background maintenance for the eyes.
I wasn’t sleepy, those were just smirkles during the lecture.
