1 definition by CherryT

The point at which food becomes unfit to consume. This does not necessarily mean that the food has rotted or become literally inedible, but rather the consumable has acquired some undesirable quality which makes it a better candidate for the trash than for the stomach. Happens often in community fridges where other people's items are not taken into consideration when storing taste or scent-changing comestibles.
"Dude, I put this chocolate cake in the fridge the other day and guess what?"
"What?"
"My mom decides to cook fish AND onions for dinner and puts both of them in the fridge on a paper plate."
"Don't tell me..."
"Yeah, that cake reached its trash point in less than 2 days."
