Spending excessive time on one's cell phone during a social situation; someone who pushes the cheese habitually is known as a "cheese pusher."

Jane: "He was pushing the cheese all throughout dinner. It was so rude."

Bob: "Kim's cool, but she's kind of a cheese pusher."
