Okay, truepreppy people DO NOT shop at Abercrombie, Hollister, AE, etc.. True preps buy their clothes from Lacoste, J. Crew, Ralph Lauren, Lilly, SperryTop-Sider, etc. Classic styles include polo shirts, ribbons, polka dots, pink and green, pearls, classic nautical, and seersucker styles. Preppy people DO NOT say things such as "like, totally, omigawd", they are classier than that. Preppy clothing is just classic, put together pieces that will never go out of styles.
Eleanor: "What are you wearing to dinner at the country club tonight?"
Cassandra: "My preppy new Lilly dress and pearls."
Cassandra: "My preppy new Lilly dress and pearls."
